12th Fail is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language biographical drama film, Produced, written, and directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Based on the true story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, who rose from abject poverty to become an Indian Police Service officer, it is based on Anurag Pathak’s 2019 nonfiction book of the same name. Anant V Joshi, Medha Shankar, Anshumaan Pushkar, Priyanshu Chatterjee, and Vikrant Massey play supporting roles in the movie.

Vikrant Massey steps into the shoes of the determined Manoj Kumar Sharma, while Medha Shankar beautifully portrays the supportive Shraddha Joshi. Anant V Joshi adds depth as the aspirant Pritam Pandey, and Anshumaan Pushkar becomes the guiding force, Gauri Bhaiya.

Priyanshu Chatterjee takes on the role of the upright DSP Dushyant Singh, a pivotal character in Manoj’s transformative journey. Geeta Aggarwal Sharma and Harish Khanna beautifully depict the struggles of Manoj’s honest family as his parents. The way that Sarita Joshi plays Manoj’s grandma gives the story more depth on an emotional level.

Sanjay Bishnoi as Naval, Vikas Divyakirti as Himself, Vijay Kumar Dogra as Sundar, and Perry Chhabra as Rajini form a diverse ensemble, contributing to the intricate fabric of the story. Darius Chinoy as Mr. Solanki, Radhika Joshi as Tanya, and Fasi Khan as Kishan bring a variety of characters to life.

He loses everything while studying for PSC exams in Gwalior but finds unexpected support, like a kind hotel owner.

Manoj’s life takes a positive turn when he meets fellow aspirant Pritam Pandey. They decide to pursue their dreams in Delhi under the guidance of Gauri Bhaiya, who opens the ‘Restart’ coaching institute.

Despite challenges, failed attempts, and personal struggles, Manoj, with Gauri Bhaiya’s support and the love of Shraddha Joshi, clears the UPSC exams, realizing his dream of becoming an IPS officer.
