Poco releases the “Redmi Note 13 killer,” the X6 Neo 5G phone, with a starting price of Rs 15,999.

Poco releases the “Redmi Note 13 killer: Poco X6 Neo is essentially a Chinese-made Redmi Note 13 (Redmi Note 13R Pro). One notable distinction is the Poco X6 Neo’s Rs 5,000 lower price.

The Redmi Note 13 and the Poco X6 Neo share identical features. It retains the same MediaTek Dimensity 6080 engine, 6.67-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate with a hole punch cutout in the middle, and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. It features a dual camera configuration for photography, with a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front and a 108-megapixel main sensor on the backā€”the same as the Redmi Note 13.

The Poco X6 Neo runs the outdated MIUI 14 software, which is based on Android 13, which is regrettably another area where the parallels occur. Poco is pledging four years of security upgrades in addition to two major OS releases.

The Redmi Note 13R Pro, which is only available in China, has a nearly identical design as the Note 13, although it differs somewhat from the Redmi Note 13 marketed in India. The phone’s screen is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and has a plastic frame and back. Splash resistance IP54 is offered. The remaining features of the package are a side-mounted fingerprint reader, Bluetooth 5.3, dual SIM, dual band Wi-Fi, 5G, headphone jack, and mono speaker out.

The Poco X6 Neo is available for Rs 15,999 and Rs 17,999 in two memory trim levels: 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB. March 18 is when general availability is anticipated. The phone will be offered in three colors: orange, blue, and black.
