IPL Auction 2024: A mini auction is going to be held before the 17th season of the Indian Premier League. BCCI has shortlisted the players on Monday night for the player auction market to be held after about a week i.e. on 19th December. In which 333 players have been included. The IPL fate of these 333 players is going to be decided in this mini auction to be held in Dubai on 19th December. For the first time in the history of IPL, the auction is going to be held outside India.

On November 30, a list of 1166 players from India and abroad was released for registration to play in the Indian Premier League, the most favorite T20 league of the cricket world. After which BCCI has shortlisted 333 players out of these 1166 players. In this, 214 Indian players have got place, while 119 foreign players have been included. Out of which 111 are capped players, while 215 uncapped players have been given a chance to enter this auction. The auction will start on December 19 at 2.30 pm Indian time.

This time not so many names are included in the IPL mini auction. But there are some names among the big stars on whom the franchises will be ready to bet big in the auction. Out of these 333 players, only 77 players will be bid, because all the 10 franchises have a total of 77 slots vacant. Out of these, there are places left for 30 foreign players. In such a situation, other players will have to be disappointed. A total of 23 players have been included in the short list of players in the base price category of Rs 2 crore.

Total purse balance of Rs 263 crore, Gujarat Titans have the highest purse. Apart from this, 13 players with a base price of Rs 1.5 crore will be seen in the auction. Talking about the base price for the auction, the players have been divided into different categories of Rs 1 crore, Rs 75 lakh, Rs 50 lakh, Rs 40 lakh, Rs 30 lakh and Rs 20 lakh. Talking about the total purse remaining with all the teams for the auction, there is a purse of Rs 262.95 crore left, out of which Gujarat Titans has the highest purse. Gujarat has Rs 38.15 crore left, while Sunrisers Hyderabad is at second place, who has Rs 34 crore left.
